Signal 88 Security is thrilled to name Officer Camryn Grantland of Signal 88 Security of Savannah, as its March 2021 Officer of the Month!
A self-starter who interacts well with people are top qualities Signal 88 Security Owners Rob and Sissy Livingston look for to staff their franchise in Savannah and Statesboro, Ga. Camryn Grantland rises to the top with these qualifications and more.
“Camryn is really personable, and she gets along with people. She is super smart and very ambitious,” Rob says of Camryn who started with #226 Savannah in January. “She definitely wants to excel, and she picks up on things quickly.”
Camryn did pick up quickly on her patrol job with the Livingston’s new Walmart contract in Savannah. The store is near the expressway, which attracts a number of transients and drug users who sometimes get into trouble with the law.
“I think that you have to think out of the box, and you have to think, How do I go above and beyond everyone's expectations?” Camryn says of how she approaches her Signal 88 work. “I find myself mentally thinking, How is this going to work? What is it going to happen in this situation? What communication can I do? What can I improve on?Constantly thinking about those things are what’s going to propel you forward in this job.”
Camryn’s going above and beyond is evident in how she spearheaded a smooth partnership between the local Walmart team and Signal 88 officers. Camryn met with decision-makers at the store to discuss roles and what Signal 88 officers can offer for asset protection and safety of customers and staff.
“Building those connections has made the store 10 times better because everybody is working together and helping one another out,” Camryn explains. “I also enjoy meeting all different types of people who work in or shop at the store. A lot of people will come up and talk to you and thank you. It helps you see that you are doing something to help out.”
Both leadership at Walmart and Signal 88 notice and applaud Camryn’s relational skills and her go-getter enthusiasm.
“Camryn has really been an asset as a liaison between the Walmart management and us. That’s been a big help. She’s not afraid to tell people to move if they’re in the fire lane or she’ll call the police if there’s a shoplifting situation,” Rob says. “Camryn’s probably going to get into something law enforcement-related down the road, but for now she’s happy to be working in this capacity and it’s a benefit to us.”
Others within the Savannah Signal 88 team notice Camryn’s dedication too. “Camryn embodies all the core values of Signal 88 but none more than passion,” shares one #226 management member.
In earning the March Officer of the Month award, Camryn circles the praise back to Rob, Sissy, and the entire Signal 88 Security system.
“I was super excited, and it felt really nice to be recognized by the company. And to get a personalized letter from the CEO was super awesome,” Camryn adds. “It just shows that Signal 88 really does care about their employees and wants to go that extra mile to show the recognition for what the officers are doing within the company.”
We congratulate you, Camryn, for your valuable contribution to Signal 88 Security. Hats off to your being our March Officer of the Month!
