Since 2009, Signal 88 franchisees have looked forward to the company’s annual Convention. Every winter, the network gathers to learn, collaborate, and celebrate. A perennial highlight is the unveiling of the network’s initiatives for the coming year.
At the 2019 Convention this February in Atlanta, Signal 88 CEO Reed Nyffeler unveiled new initiatives and investments that will help franchise partners be successful.
The new focuses are rooted in brand experience. “BX” is a hot topic in today’s business landscape as consumers seek meaningful relationships with brands they trust. For a franchise brand like Signal 88, experience is especially critical because the brand’s increasing value relies on consistency across independently owned and operated locations.
Signal 88 has formed an entirely new team dedicated to understanding and delivering a superior brand experience. The new BX department is tasked with designing processes and experiences to deliver the best of Signal 88’s brand to three primary groups of people.
The three pillars of the Signal 88 experience were established at Convention:
- Partner Brand Experience: Strengthening relationships between Franchise Partners and the Franchise Group staff who support them
- Customer Brand Experience: Strengthening relationships between franchises and their customers to deliver long-term, mutual success rooted in our culture of peace of mind
- Officer Brand Experience: Strengthening relationships between franchises and their employees to boost employee engagement and create a fulfilling, long-term career path for the right people
The Officer Brand Experience directly addresses one of the biggest pain points for franchisees: hiring and retaining officers. New for 2019 is the Candidate Advancement Program (CAP), designed to tackle that issue head-on. CAP handles the bulk of the hiring and screening process to find qualified candidates for our franchises, including job posting, application review, video and phone pre-screening, and interview scheduling.
88University, Signal 88’s online training platform for officers, has been rebuilt from the ground up and filled with new, targeted training modules. Bite-sized courses are placed together in a learning path so officers get the information they need when they need it most. With over 30 courses now complete and dozens more in development, officers will be confident in doing the right things right away.
88U also unveiled GRAD Programs at the 2019 Convention. GRAD, which stands for Grow, Refresh, and Develop, allows Franchise Partners and their key employees to receive up to three days of customized training on specific interest points. For instance, if a franchise hires a new Operations Manager, that manager can come to Signal 88 HQ to receive training on all things operations; a new Sales Director would get training related to selling and marketing. The Franchise Group even offers large stipends to help offset the cost of participating in this training!
With these new and improved initiatives, Signal 88 Security is investing in delivering a superior brand experience to our owners, customers, and officers.
Signal 88 Security was already unrivaled in its franchise support services, but the programs unleashed at this year’s Convention raised the bar. We look forward to supporting more partners this year as they work for their American dream. If you’d like to become a Franchise Partner, visit signal88franchise.com to get started!
